Ali M. Ameen is a Ph.D. Student at TU Dortmund. He received a MSc in Spatial Planning and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Duhok (UoD). His research interests are in financing affordable and social housing, the politics of housing issues, and finance. His most recent research focuses on the management of financial resources by the government to the reduction of affordable housing shortages at the KRI district level and the factors affecting allocations through the spending policy. As part of his Ph.D. research, he investigates the impact of clientelism on government spending plans toward providing housing units to those who cannot afford it.
